This is not my first sketchbook, but it’s the one I began numbering. I started it 2018 with the intention of implementing a daily sketch practice. A way to “warm – up” before painting, working very quickly and intuitively and a place to work ideas for later paintings.
Sometimes a theme ran through a week, other times is a colour scheme. I used a vintage book with good binding and strong cover, the pages painted over with household paint to obtain a stronger surface. Acrylics and charcoal were the main mediums.
